My Rating: 4 Stars
Format Read for Review: Kindle

Description: Lindsey Paxton a former defense attorney returns to her father’s firm when he falls ill. There she must work a case hauntingly familiar to the case that led her to quit years ago. With the help of a skilled attorney Mark she just may be able to keep it all together.

In Short: This is a wonderfully sweet romantic story with a splash of mystery and drama. If you love romances you can’t go wrong with this book.

Pros: This book is superbly romantic. Lisa Renee Jones truly understands how to write a love story. The couple has to work to build their relationship and you can see them falling in love and even understand why they love each other. Their love isn’t at first sight or destiny or anything silly that like. It’s realistic, emotional, rocky and passionate. This book has some of the better love making scenes that I have ever read. You can truly feel their passion and love as they explore each other’s bodies. The heroine is strong and independent and her male counterpart is every woman’s dream man. This book has an interesting story with a solid conclusion.

Cons: This book is well written I only had a couple little issue with the writing. The heroine’s “eye lashes fluttered to her cheeks” way too many times. It got to the point where it was kind of funny and made me feel like I should be making a drinking game out of it. There were also some typos and a character who’s name went back and forth from Todd to Tom. My biggest issue with this book was the mystery element of it. I felt like there could have been more sleuthing and deducing going on. I really wanted to see the heroes solve the crime. I really didn't like how the bad guy was revealed. There also wasn't any back story given to explain why and how he became evil. Because of the small plot holes with the mystery element of the book I knocked off one star. If you aren't into romance and are looking for a mystery book then this wouldn't be the best bet.
