Pregnant Women's Weird Cravings Cookbook (REVIEW)

Pregnant Women's Weird Cravings Cookbook

Author: Teri Brown
Category: Food Humor
Suitable for: All Ages
My Rating: 5 Stars
Format Read for Review: Paperback from the author in exchange for my honest review.
Pages: 154

Description: Not your typical cookbook this is a compilation of 152 bizarre and sometimes disgusting food combinations that pregnant women all around the world have craved. Each "meal" has been prepared and photographed by the author for your amusement.

In Short: This is a great gift for pregnant women. Good for laughs and maybe even some inspiration. At the end there is a even a secret family recipe for spaghetti!

Pros: I love the full-color photos. They look very natural like what you might really find in a pregnant woman's home during a bizarre craving. The book is very humorous. I imagine every reader will have different reactions to each meal depending on their tastes. There were many recipes that I would never in a million years try and others that didn't sound too bad. Chocolate on bacon? Maybe. Mac n Cheese on Pizza? Not healthy but not repulsive. Some were just weird, like the tomato and black olive sandwich. My favorite was the dill pickle and pepperoni cream cheese wrap. Not sure if I want to try it but how inventive. The last example I'll share is "Taco Brownies", proving that adding two good things together doesn't always equal a good thing. I think this book would also be very entertaining to children, especially those with culinary interests.

Cons: I have no notable issues with this book.

Parent's Guide: This book is safe for all ages.
